Life Update! (Kinda...)

Hello lovelies! I thought I'd give a full update since I haven't been posting a lot recently (sorrrrrrry!). Anyway, this is a little mixture of life/fashion/beauty etc update since I thought I needed to post.
2013 has had a pretty terrible start to a new year, not a lot of excitement has happened in the recent months and I was full of excitement as the New Year dawned on us as 2012 came to a close, anyway, it's not been that great for me however, the following months look fab! Today it was me and my boyfriend (Jason)'s two and a half year anniversary! I honestly cannot believe that it's been that long and I could not be happier if I am completely honest. Alsooo, it's my eighteenth birthday in LESS THAN THREE WEEKS! I have the perfect birthday planned out: on the actual day, I'll be spending it with my lovely family and boyfriend then on the Friday, I'll be partaaay-ing with Jason and friends then I have a 21st birthday on the Saturday and then the week after that I'm going for a meal with my friends, so although I've had a rather terrible start to a new year, I've got some amazing plans for the next few months.
Also, as you all know I've been using a variation of hair growth products over the past year or so and at the moment I'm using 'Alpecin'. Originally, I thought it was a shampoo for men but it doesn't actually indicate that. Anyway, my friends have noticed that my hair has gotten impressively longer and feels so soft but this has been down to hard work!! My hair was such a beautiful golden brown until I was twelve years old where I felt it was necessary to dye my hair a dark red and brown and from then on my hair went through hell! I have bleached, back-combed, dyed, hair sprayed, cut, washed, stripped, curled and ruined my hair. So much so that I had to take a very expensive trip to the hairdressers to get my hair chopped off. I cannot stress enough how important it is to not mess about with your hair, or like me you'll be in a position where you regret it years later! At the moment, I haven't had my hair dyed in four or five months and I haven't cut it either so it's growing out in amazing condition, also another tip is to not wash your hair everyday, I wash mines about three to four times a week with the exception of any signs of being too greasy or dry. My aim is to have hair like Lily Melrose, Alix from ICovetThee or Zoella28039.

Honestly, their hair is amazing! I love the length, style, colour... everything! They are absolutely stunning and fab fashion bloggers, too!

Another thing I have been taking care over is my skin. I have a really strange skin type where it gets really oily around my T-Zone, especially after too much or too little make up application. However, I get really dry and angry red patches around my nose and chin. I've taken a lot of care recently into taking my make up off and a great way of doing this is by applying a mixture of olive oil and water. I put them into a plastic bottle and apply with some tissues, my makeup was off within seconds! Although, it does leave some excess grease and it's always a good idea to give your face a gentle cleanse afterwards and dry properly. I've also been using Clearasil products on areas which I suffer from bad breakouts, which so happens to be my forehead. I give my face a once over with some Lush or Body Shop products and the Clearasil product, too. I have to say that my skin has vastly improved in condition over the past month or two which is letting me cut down on my make up usage, too.

If anyone has any hair and skin routines that works for them, let me know I'd love to hear about them! Also, let me know any ideas about some blog posts I could put on here (Outfit posts are overdue, I know but there will be some soon, I promise!!!) Thanks lovelies!
